Our History

Deep Rock Water Company

The source of our water, and our pride, originated deep below the surface of Colorado in the late 1800s. Our founder, a pharmacist named Stephen Kostitch, moved to the outskirts of Denver in 1896 (now considered the historic district), only to discover that he wasn’t able to obtain water rights from the city. True to the dauntless American spirit of the time, he began digging. At no less than 850 feet deep, he struck the most pristine source of water – an Artesian aquifer, a naturally faultless water source. Stephen abandoned pharmaceuticals and begun horse and buggy delivery of nature’s purest water. Soon, so much of Denver wanted Kostitch’s water that he gave up his chosen profession and started the Deep Rock Water Company.

Today, Deep Rock water continues operation in this same rich legacy, locally producing and bottling the purest and most delicious water available for consumption from our natural Artesian aquifer.  Our naturally pure water source makes Deep Rock Water a healthy alternative to “tap” water as it does not contain any chemicals, chlorine or calories.

We provide bottled water in a variety of consumer-friendly packaging from 12-oz. to 5-gallon bottles. Our portfolio includes customized filtration, gourmet coffee and tea through Keurig Premium Coffee Systems and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Crystal Light On the Go single serve flavor sticks, as well as customized private label bottled water conveniently delivered to homes and offices throughout Colorado.
